Diamonds 2nd Edition

Diamonds is a thrilling trick - taking card game. Instead of collecting cards of the diamond suit, players aim to gather real 'Diamond Crystals' (acrylic crystals) included in the game. What sets this game apart from others is the 'Suit Action'. When you can't follow suit, you get a Suit Action based on the suit you play. The winner of each trick and at the end of a full round also gets these actions. Suit Actions let players take Diamond Crystals from the Supply and place them in their Showroom (worth 1 point) or Vault (worth 2 points). The Vault is safe, but the Showroom can be raided by other players. The game deck has sixty cards numbered 1 - 15 in standard suits. Each round, players start with ten cards. One player leads, and others follow suit if they can. If you can't follow suit, you get an immediate Suit Action. The highest - card player in the led suit wins the trick and a Suit Action. The trick - winner leads the next trick. After ten tricks, players with the most cards in each suit get a Suit Action. Those who take no tricks get two Diamonds Suit Actions and then start a new round. The player with the most points in Diamond Crystals at the end wins!

How to play: First, each round starts with players getting a hand of ten cards. One player leads a card, and the rest try to follow suit. If you can't follow suit, immediately take a Suit Action based on the suit you play. The highest - card player in the led suit wins the trick and gets a Suit Action too. After ten tricks in a round, check who has the most cards in each suit to give them a Suit Action. If you took no tricks, you get two Diamonds Suit Actions. Then start a new round. Keep playing until the end and count your Diamond Crystal points. The one with the most points wins. Things to note: Be careful with your Showroom as other players can steal from it. Also, plan your Suit Actions well to get more Diamond Crystals. Maintenance: Keep the cards and Diamond Crystals in a dry place. If the cards get dirty, you can gently wipe them. Avoid bending or tearing the cards to keep the game in good condition.
