Dixit Origins, also known as Dixit 4, is an exciting expansion for the Dixit game. It comes with 84 brand - new cards featuring amazing and surreal artwork. You can combine these cards with the base - game components to add more variety, or play the Dixit game solely with these cards (though you'll need your own scoring board, voting tokens, and knowledge of the rules). In Dixit gameplay, each round, one player becomes the Storyteller. The Storyteller picks a card from their hand and then tells a story, sings a song, or does something related to the card. Other players secretly choose a card from their hands and give it to the Storyteller. The cards are shuffled and shown. Then, players vote on which card was played by the Storyteller. If no one or everyone votes for the Storyteller, they get no points. If the Storyteller gets some but not all votes, they score according to the number of votes. Players who vote correctly or whose submitted cards get votes also score. After several rounds, the player with the most points wins.
Using Dixit Origins is a breeze. First, if you're using it as an expansion, combine the 84 new cards with the base - game components. If you're playing with just the Dixit Origins cards, make sure you have a scoring board and voting tokens ready. Before you start, everyone should know the rules of the Dixit game. When it's your turn to be the Storyteller, be creative! Come up with a story, a song, or anything that links to the card you've chosen. For other players, choose a card that might fool the others. After each round, score the points as described in the rules. As for maintenance, keep the cards in a dry place and away from direct sunlight to prevent fading. If the cards get dirty, you can gently wipe them with a soft, dry cloth. Have fun playing!
