Five Guardians, depicted on Guardian cards, guard the island. Each turn, players draft these cards to get a Guardian's help, which determines turn order and grants special powers like moving, rotating, moving tokens, or getting the first - player marker for the next turn. You have three tokens per turn. Place them on the board to spread influence, sacrifice them to cross waters, enter forests, or in a volcano. To play Dokmus, first set up the game by arranging the eight double - sided map pieces in a 3x3 grid, leaving the middle space empty. Randomize which side of each map piece is facing up.
