Product Information
Tru’ng is an exciting new bot system for the game Fire in the Lake. Inspired by the groundbreaking card - based bot system first introduced in Gandhi, it offers Fire in the Lake fans more chances to bring this amazing game to the table. It's fast to use and simple to set up, yet complex enough to play the full - fledged Fire in the Lake game. When choosing Operations and Special Activities, draw cards from the Tru’ng deck. There are six cards for each faction in Fire in the Lake. Each card assesses the current game state and picks the right action for the active faction. A single, faction - specific table then decides where the action takes place. This same table is used for Operations, Special Activities, and Events, reducing the need to switch between multiple player aids. Playing against Tru’ng is like facing a real human opponent. It's unpredictable but responsive to strategic needs. It targets enemies while watching out for its ally and can make moves previously only possible for human players, like choosing a Limited Operation to block an opponent’s Event. Tru’ng can replace a human player for any Fire in the Lake faction, works with every scenario, and can be used in any player and non - player setup. The name Tru’ng has historical significance. In 40 CE, the Tru’ng sisters fought to free their homeland from foreign occupation. They defeated the Chinese army sent to pacify the region and ruled as queens for three years. Over the past two millennia, their legend has grown, and they're now celebrated as symbols of sacrifice and patriotism in defense of their homeland, marking the birth of Vietnamese national identity. Note that the Tru'ng bot is only for Fire in the Lake and not for the Fall of Saigon expansion. The bot in the Fall of Saigon expansion is designed to handle the unique elements of that expansion and works only for it.
Using the Tru’ng bot is a breeze. First, make sure you're playing the Fire in the Lake game as the Tru’ng bot won't work with the Fall of Saigon expansion. When it's time for Operations and Special Activities, draw cards from the Tru’ng deck. Each faction in the game has six cards in the deck. Look at the current state of the game, and the card will tell you the appropriate action for the active faction. Then, refer to the single, faction - specific table to figure out where the action will happen. This table is used for different game elements like Operations, Special Activities, and Events, so you don't have to keep flipping through multiple aids. Remember, playing against Tru’ng is like playing against a real person. It can make strategic moves, so be ready for some surprises. There aren't many maintenance steps for the Tru’ng bot. Just keep the cards in good condition, and store them in a dry place to avoid damage. That's all you need to know to have a great time with the Tru’ng bot in your Fire in the Lake games.
