France 40 (2nd printing)

France ’40 2nd Edition is a significant upgrade to the original board game. The rules for Extended Movement, Combat, Advance After Combat, Breakthrough Combat, and Determined Defense have been updated to align with recent games in the 19XX series like Stalingrad ’42 and Salerno ’43. A new scenario designed by Mark Merritt, combining both maps, is included. Many new units are added and some old ones modified for a more accurate order of battle in Sickle Cut and Dynamo. Minor cities, roads, and a fortified hex are added to the Dynamo map. Most importantly, both scenarios are play - tested again to ensure better balance than the first edition.

To use this game, first set up the board according to the scenario you choose. The new scenario combines both maps, so follow the special setup instructions for it. When playing, use the updated rules for different actions like movement and combat. Make sure to place the new units correctly on the board. As for maintenance, keep the game in a dry and cool place to prevent the cards and the board from getting damaged. After each play, neatly put all the pieces back in the box.
