Product Information
Gentlemen Thieves is an exciting board game filled with secret identities, bluffing, and theft. Inspired by Arsène Lupin and other characters from Maurice Leblanc's works, the goal is simple: end the game with the biggest loot stack and win! At the start, each player secretly picks one of five differently - colored burglar tiles and gets 2 - 4 helping hand tokens. Five locations are set up, each with two randomly chosen equipment tokens. There are five types of equipment tokens, each in the five burglar colors. Special tokens add more fun: two loot tokens by the bank, a lock on the museum, a tunnel by the manor, six extra loot tokens, a car token, and a second tunnel on the side. Three equipment tokens are face - up. At each round's start, the matchmaker decides alliances by placing alliance markers. Players form temporary teams to rob any location without knowing each other's identities. On a turn, a player can choose a face - up equipment token, draw from the stack, or play a helping hand token. Once all five equipment types are at a location, a burglary happens. The alliance with more token presence steals the goods, which become loot and are shared. The matchmaker token moves to a new player, starting a new round. Special tokens change the rules: the locked location can't be robbed (but the lock can be moved), the car moves equipment, and linked tunnels combine equipment types for burglary checks. A brigadier token in the last six equipment tokens ends the game. Players reveal identities, and the one with the most loot is the winner!
How to play Gentlemen Thieves: First, each player secretly takes a burglar tile and gets some helping hand tokens. Set up the five locations with equipment and special tokens as described. At the start of each round, the matchmaker decides the alliances. When it's your turn, you have three options: pick a face - up equipment token, draw from the stack, or play a helping hand token. Keep an eye on the equipment at each location. Once all five types are there, a burglary occurs. The alliance with more token presence steals the goods. The matchmaker token then moves to a new player, and a new round starts. Remember, the special tokens can change the rules. For example, the locked location can't be robbed unless you move the lock. The car can help you move equipment around, and linked tunnels combine equipment types for burglary checks. When the brigadier token is drawn, the game ends. Reveal your identity and see who has the most loot. Maintenance is easy. Just keep all the tokens and tiles in a safe place when not in use. Make sure they don't get damaged or lost. Have fun playing and try different strategies each time!
