In Reiner Knizia's High Society card game, players compete in bids to get various symbols of wealth, like positive - number and multiplier cards. At the same time, they must avoid the pitfalls represented by negative - number and navisor cards. During the bidding process, always watch your remaining cash. At game's end, even if you have many positive - number cards that could lead to victory, the player with the least money won't be in the running for the win.

To play High Society, start by setting up the cards for bidding. Each player gets an initial amount of cash. When it's your turn, you can bid on the available cards. Try to get positive - number and multiplier cards as they'll boost your score. But be careful not to get too many negative - number and navisor cards. Keep an eye on your cash throughout the game, as having too little at the end can cost you the win. After the game, simply shuffle the cards and put them away. There's no special maintenance required for this card game. Just store it in a dry place to keep the cards in good condition.
