Today, it's party time! But the house is in a mess with everyone's stuff scattered everywhere. Before the guests arrive, you've got to quickly tidy up. Grandma and Grandpa will help too, but the guests could show up any minute. Race to tidy up more stuff than others. Can your family get the house in order and welcome guests without a hitch? In 'Before the Guests Arrive', you'll work hard to clean up a messy house for the party. To start, shuffle the guests card into a small pack and put it at the bottom of the deck. Lay out 10 - 13 cards in rows and columns. On your turn, pick a row or column and take all the cards, adding them to your collection. If there are at most three cards on display, refill it first, then choose a row or column. After getting cards, you can tidy up with a family member. Mom, Dad, Girl, and Boy can each tidy two types of stuff at once, while Baby, Grandma, and Grandpa can only do one type. There are five colors of stuff, and each color has three types, like yellow baby stuff with blocks, bears, and lollipops. Yellow stuff can only be tidied by Baby, Grandma, and Grandpa, and red stuff only by the Girl or Grandma. You can tidy as much of one type of stuff as you want, so it's smart to collect a bunch of the same kind. When refilling the house, if the guest card shows up, the game ends. Everyone gets one last chance to tidy or discard a card. Players score points for the stars on the tidied stuff and lose points for untidied stuff and unused family members. The highest - scorer wins!
