Pandemic: On the Brink is an amazing expansion for the well - loved cooperative game, Pandemic. In this game, players take on various roles to collaborate and find cures for 4 diseases. The expansion comes with seven new roles, offering fresh gameplay experiences. There are also eight new special events that add more excitement and unpredictability. Several challenge kits are included to enhance the basic gameplay. The Virulent Strain Challenge makes one disease extremely deadly in unforeseen ways. The Mutation Challenge introduces a fifth (purple) disease with unique behavior. The Bio - Terrorist Challenge pits one player against the rest. You can play with 5 players and on the Legendary level! This is the 2013 edition, fully compatible with the 2013 edition of Pandemic. The contents include 7 new Role cards with matching pawns, 8 new Event Cards, 8 Virulent Strain Epidemic cards, 12 purple Disease cubes, 1 purple Disease wood marker, 1 Cure Indicator sticker and card, 2 Mutation cards, 3 Mutation Event cards, 1 Bio - Terrorist location pad, 1 Epidemic card, 1 reference card, 4 blank cards for customizing, 5 petri dishes and labels.
How to use: First, gather all the cards and components included in the box. If you're playing with the base game of Pandemic, make sure it's the 2013 edition to ensure compatibility. Shuffle the new Role cards and let players pick their roles. Add the new Event Cards, Challenge cards, and Disease components as described in the respective challenges. Follow the rules of the base game with the added twists from the expansion. You can play with up to 5 players and choose the Legendary level for a more difficult game. Note: Keep all the small components like the pawns, cubes, and stickers in a safe place to avoid losing them. When shuffling the cards, do it gently to prevent damage. Maintenance: If the cards get dirty, you can use a soft, dry cloth to wipe them. Store the game in a cool, dry place to keep the components in good condition.
