The 2nd Edition of Pursuit of Glory: The Great War in the Near East is a thrilling sequel to the well - known WWI card - driven game, Paths of Glory. In this game, you can take control of either the British/Russian alliance or the Ottoman Empire during WWI. Experience key events like the Gallipoli campaign, holy war, mutiny, and the Russian Revolution, and step into the shoes of historical figures such as Churchill, Lawrence of Arabia, Enver, and Falkenhayn. The second edition comes with a mounted game board, full - color rules and playbook that include all errata from the last 11 years and the latest rule updates. There are two card decks for each player with clarifications and the latest updates, pieces and counters with all the latest corrections, and a modified Parvus event card for a less luck - based start of the Russian Revolution. It's a stand - alone sequel that uses the same card - driven mechanics as the first game but with rule changes to better simulate the Middle Eastern war conditions.
