The game has multiple standalone episodes with a two - act structure. If a character dies before summoning, you lose; after summoning, as long as one player is alive, there's a chance to win. Meet some of the characters: Lysa with her skill Malacoda, where the ancient spirit in her lantern protects her. Annabelle, a spirit medium with the Channeling skill. How to Use: First, make sure you have the core Cthulhu: Death May Die game as this is an expansion. Set up the game by placing the included graphic novel, Investigator figures, dashboards, and cultist cards as described in the core game's instructions. Each player selects an Investigator character and starts the game insane. The goal is to summon Elder Gods and defeat them. As you play through the episodes, remember that if a character dies before the summoning, the game is over and you lose. But after the Elder One is on the board, as long as one player is alive, there's still hope. Each character has unique skills like Lysa's Malacoda, Annabelle's Channeling, and Jack's Truck Driver. Use these skills to your advantage during the game. Things to Note: Paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign are not included unless otherwise stated. The episodes are standalone, so you can play them in any order with different players. Maintenance: Keep the game components in a dry and cool place. Avoid bending the cards or damaging the figures.
