This pack offers several miniatures and components for players to create their own homebrew factions. It also comes with two maroon collectible figures from the Kickstarter stretch goals. Note: paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign are not included unless stated otherwise. Cthulhu Wars is an exciting strategy board game. Set in the Cthulhu mythos by H. P. Lovecraft, players take on the roles of alien races and gods. The game features 64 figurines of cultists, monsters, aliens, and Great Old Ones, sized from about 20 mm to nearly 180 mm. Played on an Earth - themed map, players start each turn by Gathering Power. Then, in Action Rounds, they spend this power on tasks like recruiting Cultists, moving units, battling, summoning monsters, building Gates, casting spells, and Awakening their Great Old One. The Action phase ends when players run out of power, and the next turn begins. Victory is achieved by getting 30 points on the Doom Track and unlocking all six spell books. Each faction has unique monsters, spell books, and special abilities, offering multiple strategies. How to use: First, set up the game on the Earth - themed map. Each player picks a faction from the base game. At the start of your turn, gather power. Then, during the action rounds, use that power to do different things like recruiting cultists or battling. Keep going until all players run out of power, then start a new turn. Try to get 30 points on the Doom Track and unlock all six spell books to win. Things to note: Remember, paid add - ons from the Kickstarter campaign aren't included unless it's clearly said. Also, make sure you understand each faction's unique requirements to get the spell books. Maintenance advice: Keep the figurines in a safe place to avoid damage. You can use a soft cloth to clean them if they get dirty. Store the game components in the provided box or a suitable container to keep them organized.
