It requires the Cthulhu Wars Core Game (sold separately). Note: paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign are not included unless stated otherwise. Cthulhu Wars is an exciting strategy board game. Players take on the roles of alien races and gods from H. P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos. The game is large and comes with 64 figurines of cultists, monsters, aliens, and Great Old Ones, ranging from about 20 mm to nearly 180 mm in height. The game unfolds on an Earth map. Each player represents one of four factions in the base game. At the start of a turn, gather power, then use it in action rounds for tasks like recruiting cultists, moving units, battling, summoning monsters, building gates, casting spells, and awakening your Great Old One. When power runs out, the action phase ends and a new turn starts. Victory is based on points on the Doom Track. The first to 30 wins if they've unlocked all six spell books. The base game supports 2 - 4 players (the map can handle 5), and with expansions, it can support up to 8 players. We're happy to back campaigns to bring you this game. Then, during action rounds, use your power to do different things like getting cultists, moving your units around the map, and more. To win, try to get points on the Doom Track and unlock all six spell books. Remember, this map is for 3 to 5 players, but the base game can support 2 - 4 players and with expansions up to 8. Regarding maintenance, keep the map flat and away from sharp objects to avoid tears. The figurines should be stored carefully to prevent breakage.
