This is a Kickstarter - exclusive supplement, Cthulhu Wars: 13 Cats Just Figures [CW - Cats], by Petersen Games from the CATaclysm Kickstarter campaign. Note: paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign are not included unless stated otherwise. Cthulhu Wars is an exciting strategy board game. Players become alien races and gods from H. P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos. The game comes with 64 figurines of cultists, monsters, aliens, and Great Old Ones, ranging from about 20 mm to nearly 180 mm in height. It takes place on an Earth - themed map. In the base game, each player represents one of four factions. At the start of a turn, gather power. Then, in action rounds, use this power for tasks like recruiting cultists, moving units, battling, summoning monsters, building gates, casting spells, and awakening your Great Old One. When all players run out of power, the action phase ends and the next turn starts. Victory is based on points on the Doom Track. The first to 30 wins if they've unlocked all six spell books. Each faction has unique monsters, spell books, and special abilities, with different requirements to get spell books. The base game supports 2 - 4 players (the map can handle 5), and with expansions, it can support up to 8 players. How to use: First, set up the game on the Earth - themed map. Each player picks a faction from the base game. At the start of your turn, gather power. Then, during the action rounds, decide how to spend that power. You can recruit cultists, move your units around the map, engage in battles with other players, summon powerful monsters, build gates, cast spells, and try to awaken your Great Old One. Keep an eye on the Doom Track and aim to reach 30 points. But remember, you need to unlock all six spell books to be the winner. Note: This is a Kickstarter - exclusive supplement, and paid add - ons from the campaign are usually not included. Also, if you're using expansions, make sure to follow the additional rules that come with them. Maintenance: Keep the figurines in a dry place to prevent any damage. Avoid dropping or roughly handling them. If the map gets dirty, you can gently clean it with a soft, dry cloth.
