Board Game Geek Rating: 5.78. Avg Player Rating: 7.60. Players: 1 - 5. Published in 2017. This is a Kickstarter - exclusive Memory Shrine Miniatures accessory for Lobotomy: The Board Game. It comes with 12 Memory Shrine miniatures and requires the core game (sold separately). Note that paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign aren't included unless stated otherwise.
In this fully cooperative board game for 1 to 5 players, you take on the role of escaped mental patients. Step into the abandoned mental hospital of your worst nightmares. Each player controls a unique crazy character with their own story and phobias that can turn real at any moment. The sole goal is to escape, but it's tough as all the staff are evil monsters and the warden is the worst of them.
Lobotomy is a scenario - based adventure/dungeon crawler. It features a large modular board where each module represents a different part of the hospital, including outdoor areas like the garden or chapel. The characters are completely different, with their own stories and mental illnesses that determine their skills and powers. There are various monsters, mostly inspired by old pulp horror movies. You can fight, explore, or uncover your past, but you're short on time before the warden finds you, and you must be ready to face him.
All characters and monsters come with awesome miniatures (over fifty in the base set).
