This is a Kickstarter Voidseeders board game expansion for the Nemesis board game by Awaken Realms. It includes the Voidseeders Board Game Expansion, but note that paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign are not included unless stated otherwise.
The Nemesis game takes you on a terrifying spaceship adventure. Every spaceship has its own voice, but ever since the last mission, this ship sounds off. There are strange murmurs and whispers, and the corridors seem to sing. The interaction with the Voidseeders in this expansion is far different from other expansions. You'll need to think carefully about your hero's movements and placements to avoid going insane.
Some crew members have gone mad trying to find the source of the interference. The engineer carved words on his flesh, and the navigator took a spacewalk without a suit. Now, the noises have turned into voices of slaughter and terror, encircling the crew for a dark purpose.
Let's look at the rules:
**Overlook**: Voidseeders can interact with crew members' minds. They have multiple nests instead of one, with only one strong fighting presence at a time. When killed, a new one awakens from the most developed nest. They focus on whispering and controlling minds, making those nearby hear commands to do destructive things.
**Nests**: Usually, there's 1 main Nest as a room token, plus 2 - 3 smaller ones. These are where new Voidseeders are born. When you discover the main Nest, place a Stalker miniature in it. Other nests appear with certain Exploration tokens and are very dangerous. Ending your turn on a tile with a nest gives you a serious wound.
**Voidlurkers**: They spawn in nests, aiming to spread insanity and move players to Nests.
**Whisperers**: Similar to Voidlurkers, but their main goal is to defend the main nest.
**Stalker**: The main guardian, taking advantage of the crew's fear and insanity.
**Despoiler**: Similar to a Queen. It might be a mass hallucination. It only appears when all Insanity tokens are on players. It's extremely strong.
**Contamination card**: Players get a contamination card when they get an insanity token. They're easier to discard. The card's effect occurs at the end of the game. If it's infected, your character loses the game even if they escape.
**Whispers mechanic**: This changes the noise mechanic. When you move or an event card tells you to, roll for whispers. If you enter a corridor with a whisper token, draw a Card from the Insanity deck. The card's effects depend on your character's insanity tokens.
**Combat**: Voidlurkers add insanity tokens and run to the nearest nest. Whisperers are harder to kill and pose physical danger, but their main weapon is giving insanity tokens. Stalker and Despoiler are huge opponents that give real wounds.
**Event phase**: Check your insanity tokens and the number of Voidlurkers and Whisperers in adjacent rooms. If their number is higher, add one insanity token and draw one contamination card. Being in a room with others lessens this effect.
The overall feel of this expansion is very different from the base Core Box. It adds an extra layer of not trusting your friends, thanks to the Insanity cards.

Welcome to the world of the Nemesis: Voidseeders Expansion! Here's a guide to help you get the most out of your gaming experience.
**How to Play**: First, set up the game according to the rules. Place the main Nest and other smaller nests on the board as described. When you start the game, remember that your actions matter a lot. When moving your hero, think carefully as the Voidseeders can mess with your mind. Roll for whispers when you move or as an event card instructs. If you land on a corridor with a whisper token, draw an Insanity card and see what effects it has on your character.
In combat, different creatures have different behaviors. Voidlurkers will try to add insanity tokens and run, while Whisperers are tougher and also give insanity tokens. Avoid getting too close to the Stalker and Despoiler as they can give you real wounds.
During the event phase, always check the number of Voidlurkers and Whisperers in adjacent rooms against your insanity tokens. If they outnumber your tokens, add an insanity token and draw a contamination card. But don't worry too much if you're with other players as they can help you calm down.
**Things to Keep in Mind**: Remember that paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign are not included unless otherwise stated. Also, the Despoiler only appears when all Insanity tokens are on players, so keep an eye on those tokens.
**Maintenance**: To keep your game in good condition, store the cards and miniatures in a cool, dry place. You can use card sleeves to protect the cards from wear and tear. If the miniatures get dirty, gently clean them with a soft cloth. Have a great time playing the Nemesis: Voidseeders Expansion!
