In the dystopic 1930s, fossil - based resources are over - exploited, and only hydroelectric energy can meet the power needs. Barrage is a strategic resource management game. Players, representing international companies, compete to build dams in an Alpine region. The game features two innovative mechanisms. First, manage the construction wheel to plan actions and handle machineries. The more construction and maintenance on the wheel, the earlier resources and actions return. Second, the river water flow is a contested resource. Build dams, raise them, and construct tunnels to store and use water for energy. Over five rounds, players must meet power requirements on a common track and personal contract requests. Place engineers to upgrade machineries and build special buildings. We're happy to support campaigns like Barrage. A portion of your purchase will go towards backing new games on Kickstarter. If you have questions, contact The Game Steward.

How to play: First, set up the game by placing the board, the Kickstarter Exclusive Box with the Exclusive 3D map, and all the components like the Barrage core game and The Leeghwater Project Expansion. Each player represents an international company. In each round, use the construction wheel to plan your actions and manage your machineries. Try to intercept and store water from the rivers on the board by building dams, raising them, and constructing tunnels to your powerhouses. Over five rounds, aim to meet the power requirements on the common power track and the requests of your personal contracts. Place your limited number of engineers to upgrade your machineries and build special buildings. Things to note: Paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign are not included unless stated. Make sure to read all the rules carefully before starting the game. Maintenance advice: Keep the game components in a dry and clean place. After each use, put all the pieces back in the box neatly to avoid losing any parts. If the 3D map or other components get dirty, you can gently wipe them with a soft cloth.
