In Dark Domains, each player becomes a city leader aiming to expand Harrows' frontier into the hinterland. Some leaders (players) are secretly under the control of the Necromancer. At first, they create domains that seem like beacons of hope, but eventually, their true evil shows, and their lands turn into wastelands filled with monsters. However, Harrows has the Torin Company with heroes. Once they know about the darkness, they'll seek out and stop the evil. Dark Domains is a worker - placement game. 2 - 5 players strive to create the most evil domain, represented by skulls in the game. Use Minions, Henchmen, Monsters & Magic to eliminate good, repel the Torin Company, and cover the land in darkness. Tarot cards are used as events each turn to regulate the game phases.
