Product Information

Board Game Geek Rating: 7.8. Average Player Rating: 7.603. Suitable for 2 to 5 players and published in 2018. This is the Kickstarter Second Edition of the DinoGenics board game, including the core game from the second Kickstarter. Note that paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign are not included unless stated otherwise. DinoGenics is an exciting worker - placement game. Players step into the shoes of multi - billion - dollar corporations, each with their private island dinosaur park. Over seven seasons, send workers to the mainland to gather essential resources like DNA, fences. Once you have the resources, design your park and choose which dinosaurs to house. Prestigious dinosaurs attract more visitors, but they can be unpredictable. If neglected or poorly penned, they'll try to escape and cause chaos. The game unfolds over 7 seasons, with an Open Season and an Upkeep phase. In the Open Season, your park's reputation, mainly determined by the dinosaurs you have, attracts visitors. More dangerous dinosaurs boost your reputation and earn you more money. Reputation also decides the player order. Players take turns placing workers on mainland action spaces according to their reputation. Pay the costs and get the benefits when you place a worker. Mainland spaces are limited, so plan your worker placements carefully. After all workers are placed, it's the Upkeep Phase. Feed your carnivores; otherwise, your park facilities may be damaged or visitors could die. After feeding, return visitors to the stockpile and generate building resources. Then, the game moves to the next season. Plan your turns ahead as action spaces get highly contested. Mutants can be profitable when combined with the right facilities. We're happy to support campaigns so you can buy DinoGenics Second Edition online at TheGameSteward. A large part of your spending will go towards backing new Kickstarter games. If you have questions, contact The Game Steward.

How to play: First, each player becomes a multi - billion - dollar corporation and gets a private island park. Over seven seasons, send your workers to the mainland during the Open Season to collect resources like DNA, fences. Once you have enough resources, design your park layout and choose the dinosaurs you want to house. In the Open Season, your park's reputation based on the dinosaurs will attract visitors and determine your money and player order. Place your workers on mainland action spaces according to your reputation order, pay the costs, and get the benefits. After all workers are placed, it's the Upkeep Phase. You must feed your carnivores. If you fail to do so or don't pen dinosaurs properly, your park facilities may be damaged, and visitors could die. After feeding, return visitors to the stockpile and generate building resources, then move to the next season. Things to note: Remember that paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign are not included unless stated otherwise. Mainland action spaces are limited, so plan when and where to send your workers. High - value carnivores are great but need a lot of meat. Focusing on herbivores can reduce meat costs, but watch out for competitors building more carnivores. Maintenance advice: As the game progresses, plan your turns in advance as action spaces like the Farm and the Uplink get highly contested. Mutants may not seem valuable alone, but try to combine them with the right facilities to make them profitable.
