To start playing Here to Slay, first set up the game using the included core game components, individual and central play mats, and card sleeves. Each player picks a party leader card at the beginning. This will represent you throughout the game, so choose based on your play style as it gives you a special edge. As the game progresses, you'll assemble your party of heroes. Each hero has a class and an effect. To use a hero's effect, roll two dice and get a score equal to or higher than the roll requirement. You can also equip items to your heroes to increase their chances of success. When it comes to slaying monsters, roll two dice again. But be careful! Monsters have a roll range where they'll fight back. If you land in that range, your party could be in trouble. If you don't like what your opponent is doing, play a challenge card. This starts a 1V1 dice - rolling challenge. If you win, you send their card to the discard pile. The goal is to be the first to slay three monsters or build a full party with six different classes. Remember, paid add - ons from the Kickstarter campaign are not included in this bundle unless otherwise stated. Keep your game components in a dry and clean place to maintain their quality. If you have any questions while playing, don't hesitate to contact The Game Steward for advice.
