Product Information

Board Game Geek Rating: 7.30. Board Game Geek Avg Player Rating: 7.94. Suitable for 1 to 6 players and published in 2013. This is the retail edition of the Pandemic: In the Lab board game expansion. In this second expansion for Pandemic, you'll use a new game board that lets you move pawns in a laboratory. The goal remains finding cures for diseases, but in a brand - new way. Behind sealed bio - hazard doors, scientists rush against time to sequence diseases, take samples, and test cures. The game includes four new roles, new Virulent Strain events, and a Worldwide Panic Mutation scenario. Players can either compete individually or on rival teams (when playing with four or six players). Can your team collaborate in the lab to save humanity? Note that this game requires the base game, and two of the 3 scenarios also need Pandemic: On the Brink. It's part of the Pandemic series. At TheGameSteward, we're excited to back campaigns for games like this. A significant part of your spending on this game will go towards backing new Kickstarter games. If you have any purchase questions or need game advice, contact The Game Steward.

To play Pandemic: In The Lab, first make sure you have the base game. If you're playing one of the two specific scenarios, you'll also need Pandemic: On the Brink. Set up the new game board and distribute the pawns. Each player can choose one of the four new roles. The goal is to work together (or compete) to find cures for diseases in the laboratory. When playing with four or six players, you can form rival teams. As you play, new Virulent Strain events might occur, and you could face the Worldwide Panic Mutation scenario. Remember to keep track of time as scientists are in a race. After each game, store the game pieces in a dry and safe place to keep them in good condition. If you have any questions during the game, feel free to contact The Game Steward for advice.
