Two thousand years ago, the Roman Empire reigned over the Mediterranean lands. With border peace, provincial harmony, uniform law, and a common currency, the economy boomed, giving rise to powerful Roman dynasties as they expanded across numerous cities. In this game for 2 - 5 players aged 13 and up, you'll guide one of these dynasties. Send colonists to the Empire's remote areas, build your trade network, and gain the favor of ancient gods like Jupiter, Saturnus, Mercurius, Minerva, and Vesta to win! It's a peaceful economic - development strategy game. Forget about dice or card luck; rely on your strategic skills. Keep an eye on your rivals to outpace them. Colonists are sent from Rome to cities producing bricks, food, tools, wine, and cloth. Each player starts with the same set of cards and gets more during the game. These cards let you choose actions and earn victory points (VPs) at the end. The game requires forward - thinking and considering your opponents' moves. Each game is unique due to new card sequences and modular city layouts. One side of the board shows the whole Roman Empire with 30 cities for 3 - 5 players, the other shows Roman Italy with 25 cities for 2 - 4 players. The game ends when all cards are sold or the first player builds their 15th house. The player with the most VPs from the gods wins. To start playing the Concordia Core Board Game, gather 2 to 5 players aged 13 or older. Decide which side of the game board to use based on the number of players. Each player gets an identical set of playing cards at the start. Your goal is to guide a Roman dynasty. Send colonists from Rome to different cities that produce various resources like bricks, food, tools, wine, and cloth. Use your cards to choose actions during the game and earn victory points at the end. Keep an eye on what your rivals are doing and plan your moves accordingly. The game ends when all cards have been sold or the first player builds their 15th house. The one with the most victory points from the gods wins.
