During the game, feel free to use the trays as they are designed to be part of the gameplay. When you're done playing, simply put all the pieces back in their respective trays. As for maintenance, keep the insert in a dry place to prevent warping. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures. And remember, the rules act as a lid, so don't misplace them.
