Product Information
In the mid-22nd century, after 300 years of slumber, rising waters submerge the last remaining lands. Survivors must build settlements above sea - level. In the Otys colony, you're on a mission to retrieve debris from past civilizations in the ocean depths to shape humanity's future. Your naver team is trained to bring up useful materials. Use them smartly to fulfill colony contracts and gain more fame than rivals. Navers are at different depths, and you need to match their special abilities with colony bonuses. But remember, their oxygen is limited, and they must resurface after missions. Manage your team profitably to get better rewards. Otys, co - published by Pearl Games and Libellud, is an optimization and development game. Optimize your gameplay by aligning naver depths, abilities, and colony bonuses to secure the best contracts and win. Each player has a naver team to take actions, retrieve items, and complete objectives. Navers are stacked on an individual game board, some beside depth gauges (1 - 5). On a turn, pick a depth gauge on your board, perform the action at that depth on the shared board, and then act for your naver. After that, the naver surfaces, pushing others down. The depth gauge goes to the bottom of your board and returns when your gauge meter is full. Initially, play all six gauges before getting any back, but you can improve your meter to fill it faster and have more action choices. Items retrieved by navers are kept at the right depth on your board. When you have the required items at the same depth, claim shared or personal objectives. The first to score 18 points wins the game.
To start playing Otys, first, understand your naver team. Each naver has a special ability and is placed at a certain depth on your individual game board. When it's your turn, look at the depth gauges on your board. Choose one and carry out the corresponding action on the shared game board. Then, perform the action for your naver at that depth. After the action, the naver goes to the surface, pushing the other navers down in the queue. The depth gauge you used goes to the bottom of your board. Remember, your navers have limited oxygen, so don't let them stay underwater too long. Try to match your navers' special abilities with the bonuses offered by the Colony to get the most out of each mission. As you play, your navers will retrieve items. Keep these items at the appropriate depth on your board. When you have all the items needed at the same depth, you can claim an objective. Try to improve your gauge meter so that it fills up faster. This way, you'll have more choices for your actions. The goal is to be the first to score 18 points. Good luck!
