Product Information
Panzer North Africa is the latest game in designer James Day's well - regarded Panzer system, focusing on World War II small - formation armored and infantry combat. Players can lead German, Italian, or British armored forces and relive key battles in the North African desert from mid - 1940 to late 1942. This stand - alone game is suitable for both veterans and new players, no need to own other games or modules in the Panzer series.
The game system is ideal for small unit actions from platoon to battalion - sized formations. Vehicles, towed guns, and aircraft are 1:1 scaled, with each 7/8” double - sided counter representing a single unit. The 5/8” double - sided leg unit counters represent squads, half - squads, and sections with attached weapons. The ground scale is 100 meters per hex.
It comes with six double - sided geomorphic mapboards (12 in total) and map terrain overlays for customizing battle maps. The streamlined chit - based command system speeds up the gameplay. There are also solitaire scenarios.
The game features a modular rules system with Basic, Advanced, and Optional rules. It covers a wide range of combat aspects like various vehicle hit locations, different ammunition types, sighting effects, overwatch fire, and more.
How to use: First, set up the game by placing the mapboards and terrain overlays as you like. Then, use the counters to represent your units on the map according to the scale. Decide which forces (German, Italian, or British) you want to command. Use the chit - based command system to move your units and engage in battles. Follow the rules based on your preference, starting with the basic rules if you're new.
Note: Make sure to read the rules carefully before starting the game. When handling the counters, be gentle to avoid damage. Keep the mapboards flat to prevent warping.
Maintenance: Store the game in a cool, dry place. If the counters get dirty, you can use a soft, dry cloth to clean them. Keep the mapboards in a protective case to avoid scratches.
