Product Information

In the Patchwork board game, two players go head - to - head to create the most beautiful and high - scoring patchwork quilt on a 9x9 personal game board. To begin, scatter all the patches randomly in a circle and position a marker counter - clockwise of the 2 - 1 patch. Each player gets five buttons, which serve as the game's currency and points, and one player is selected as the starter. On a turn, you can either buy one of the three patches clockwise of the spool or pass. Buying a patch means paying the button cost shown on it, moving your time token on the time track by the number of spaces equal to the time on the patch, shifting the spool to the patch's position in the circle, and then adding it to your board. You can place the patch anywhere on your board without overlapping others, but tight fits are better. If your time token is behind or on top of your opponent's, you take another turn; otherwise, it's your opponent's go. Instead of buying a patch, you can pass. To do so, move your time token in front of your opponent's and get one button from the bank for each space you move. Each patch has 0 - 3 buttons, and when you move your time token past a button on the time track, sum the buttons on your board and take that many from the bank. The time track has five 1x1 patches. Whoever passes a patch on the time track first claims it and places it on their board right away. When a player moves their time token to the center square of the time track, they place the purchased patch (if they bought one) and get one final button score from the bank. Once both players are in the center, each loses two buttons for each blank square on their board. The player with the most buttons wins.

Using the Patchwork board game is easy. First, set up the game by randomly arranging all the patches in a circle and putting a marker counter - clockwise of the 2 - 1 patch. Each player should take five buttons at the start. Decide who will be the first player. During your turn, you have two options: buy a patch or pass. To buy a patch, pay the button cost on it, move your time token according to the time on the patch, move the spool, and add the patch to your board. Place the patch carefully on your board without overlapping other patches for better results. If your time token is behind or on top of your opponent's, you get another turn. If you choose to pass, move your time token in front of your opponent's and take a button from the bank for each space you moved. Keep an eye on the buttons on the patches and the time track. When you pass a button on the time track, sum the buttons on your board and take that many from the bank. Also, be quick to claim the 1x1 patches on the time track. When you reach the center of the time track, place your purchased patch and get a final button score. After both players reach the center, remember that you'll lose two buttons for each blank square on your board. As for maintenance, keep the patches and tokens in a dry and clean place. Avoid bending the patches or losing the tokens. Have fun playing the game!
