The Plum Island Horror is an exciting 1 - 4 player cooperative game. It blends tactical unit management with tower - defense survival mechanics. You can choose from six unique factions representing different groups on Plum Island. Each faction has distinct strengths and weaknesses, and you'll need to make the most of the former and minimize the latter. Players must work together. By coordinating well, you might just be able to evacuate a besieged city and stop a terrifying outbreak from spreading off the island. If you succeed, you all win and the world may never know about the averted crisis. Fail, and you'll share the blame for letting humanity down. Game contents include a 22” x 34” mounted map, a rulebook, 135 playing cards, 7 faction player mats, 4 player aids, 1 game track sideboard, 2 cloth bags, 6 custom combat dice, 70 horrors tiles, 36 cardboard standees, 102 wooden pieces, and 162 cardboard counters.
To play the Plum Island Horror game, first, set up the game using the mounted map, and lay out all the game pieces like the playing cards, faction player mats, and cardboard standees as described in the rulebook. Each player picks a unique faction. During the game, coordinate with other players to manage your units tactically and defend against the outbreak. Remember to use your faction's strengths to your advantage. When rolling the custom combat dice, follow the rules for combat actions. After the game, store all the pieces in the cloth bags to keep them organized. Keep the rulebook in a safe place so you can refer to it if you forget any rules. Make sure to handle the wooden pieces and cardboard items gently to avoid damage.
