Unless stated, paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign are not included. The Thorn Beast is a rideable dragon - like companion. It's born from a toxic root, growing large, fierce, and somewhat unstable. It can be either a plague on the land or a loyal ally if tamed. As a modular expansion, it's compatible with any adventure, whether from the core box, lost story, or other expansions. Taming the beast is risky but rewarding. During setup, draw Thornroot tokens, shuffle Thorn Beast Travel cards into the basic deck, and place the beast - related cards and figure near the playing area. When the beast appears in the game, it starts as wild. Feed it Thornroot tokens to increase your bond. Once tamed, a hero can ride it, traveling up to 3 locations with 1 Thornroot token spent. How to Use: First, make sure you have the Trudvang Legends base game. During setup, the leader draws Thornroot tokens in each matching region. Shuffle the Thorn Beast Travel cards into the basic Travel deck. Sleeve the Thorn Beast card, untamed side - up, in the Adventure board and place the base card next to the playing area. Put the Thorn Beast figure near the playing area too. When a sighting card is revealed during the travel phase, the Thorn Beast enters the game. Feed the untamed beast Thornroot tokens to increase your bond. Once tamed, a hero on the same location can ride it during the Travel Phase, moving up to 3 locations and spending 1 Thornroot token. A hero can dismount at any point during their activation. Note: This is a Kickstarter - exclusive expansion. Paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign are not included unless otherwise stated. You must buy the Trudvang Legends base game separately. Maintenance: Keep the cards and tokens in a dry and cool place to prevent damage. Since the figures are unpainted, you can paint them according to your preference, but be careful not to damage them during the painting process.
