The powerful vibes from the Outside World have shaken Cerebria's stability, waking the Inside World from its long slumber. The Spirits of Bliss and Gloom emerge from the Origin to restore order. They control Essence, the Origin's creative energy, to evoke Emotions and shape Cerebria. Bliss Spirits aim for a world full of Kindness and Joy, while Gloom Spirits plot to fill it with Suspicion and Animosity.
The Spirits' efforts and the flow of Essence lead to Dissonance and Revelation periods. When Bliss and Gloom face off, the winning Spirits can add to Cerebria's Identity. Once the Identity is complete, it restores the Inside World's stability.
Dive into Cerebria in this 2v2 area - control team game. Be a creative Spirit of Bliss or Gloom, and use Emotion cards to occupy key spots on the board or accompany your Spirit. Emotion cards are double - sided and can be upgraded with Essence. Essence is taken from one of the Origin's five Spheres at the start of your turn. Emptying a Sphere triggers events like Dissension or Contemplation, and the winning Spirits contribute to Cerebria's Identity.
The game ends when the Identity is built, bringing permanent stability to Cerebria. The Identity's composition matters in scoring, but there are other ways to win too. How to play: First, set up the game by unpacking all the components in the Origin Box. Place the main board, player boards, and the Origin's Spheres. Each player chooses to be a Spirit of Bliss or Gloom. At the start of your turn, take Essence from one of the Origin's five Spheres. Use this Essence to play Emotion cards. You can play them to occupy spots on the main board or to follow your Spirit as it moves across Cerebria. Emotion cards are double - sided, and you can upgrade them to their more powerful forms using Essence.
When one of the Origin's Spheres is emptied, an event like Dissension or Contemplation will happen. During these events, try to make your Spirits prevail to contribute to Cerebria's Identity. The game ends as soon as the Identity is completed.
Note: Paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign are not included unless otherwise stated. Keep the game components in a dry place to avoid damage. When not in use, store the cards in the plastic tray insert provided to keep them organized. If the miniatures get dirty, you can gently clean them with a soft cloth.
