To start playing Folklore: The Affliction, first, set up the game board using the Oversized Neoprene World Map. Choose your character from the six unique options. Each character has its own abilities that you can customize as you play. You and other players will work together to find and destroy the source of evil in the land. When you enter dark locations, it turns into a miniature - based dungeon crawl. During combat, use strategic moves to defeat your enemies. Your successes and failures can affect the whole group. If your character dies, don't worry! You'll play on as a ghost with special powers. When it comes to the add - ons, use the Character Record Pad and Encounter Record Pad to keep track of your progress. The Recipes and Crafting Card Set can help you make useful items. The Seasons Environments & Dark Festivals Card Set adds more variety to the game. As for maintenance, keep the cards in a dry place to prevent them from getting damaged. Don't bend the Oversized Neoprene World Map or the Player Mats. If you spill something on them, clean it up right away.
