Product Information
Board Game Geek Rating: 6.63. Board Game Geek Avg Player Rating: 7.77. Suitable for 2 to 4 players, published in 2014. This is the Kickstarter Edition of the Fresco Big Box Board Game. Note that paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign are not included unless stated otherwise. In Fresco, you step into the shoes of master painters restoring a Renaissance church fresco. Each round starts with choosing your wake - up time. Wake up early, and you'll have a better turn order and options. But wake up too early, and your apprentices will get grumpy and work less efficiently. Then, decide your turn actions, deploying apprentices to tasks like buying and mixing paint, painting the fresco, painting portraits for money, and even sending apprentices to the opera for a happiness boost. Points are mainly scored by painting the fresco, which needs specific paint combinations, so buy and mix paints smartly and outcompete other players. The Fresco Big Box includes all original game materials, plus all expansions up to 2012 and a brand - new 2nd expansion (with modules 8, 9, and 10). Play without expansions for a light family game or add one, two, or all expansions to vary the play and increase difficulty, offering high replay value. At TheGameSteward, we're excited to back campaigns to bring you games like the Fresco Big Box Kickstarter Game. A large percentage of your spend on this game will go towards backing new Kickstarter games. If you have purchase questions or need game advice, contact The Game Steward.
How to use: First, gather 2 to 4 players. At the start of each round, decide what time you want to wake up. This will determine your turn order. After that, choose actions for your turn, like sending your apprentices to buy paint, mix paint, paint the fresco, paint portraits for money, or go to the opera. Remember, to score points by painting the fresco, you need specific paint combinations, so plan your paint - buying and mixing carefully. Note: The paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign are not included unless otherwise stated. Don't wake up too early too often, or your apprentices will work less efficiently. Maintenance: Keep the game components in a dry and cool place. After each play, make sure to put all pieces back in the box properly to avoid losing them.
