Hamlet offers lots of uniquely shaped buildings that fit together in fascinating ways. There's a central Hamlet where players contribute to its growth, with its own self - forming supply and demand economy. Villagers wander through the Hamlet, delivering food to homes and building resources to construction sites. Eventually, the Church will be built, and the small Hamlet will transform into a budding town. Who will be the biggest winner then? This medium - weight competitive village - building game, designed by David Chircop (Petrichor, The Pursuit of Happiness), features irregular - shaped tiles that connect without a grid, creating a different village every time. The tile placement forms natural paths for villagers to transport resources, ensuring no two games feel the same. With communal buildings, it creates a dynamic economy where players strive to provide the most needed resources. It plays from 1 to 4 players, and a solo mode by Nick Shaw & David Turczi is included. It's published by award - winning studio Mighty Boards (Excavation Earth, Posthuman Saga). At TheGameSteward, we're excited to support this campaign. A significant portion of your purchase of Hamlet: Deluxe Edition with New Upgrade Kit will go towards backing amazing new games on Kickstarter. If you have any purchase questions or need game advice, contact us at The Game Steward.
How to play: First, set up the game by taking out the components from the deluxe core game and the upgrade kit. Place the central Hamlet area on the table. Each player gets their share of meeples and coins. Take turns placing the irregular - shaped tiles to build the village. As you place tiles, you can construct buildings to create materials, refine resources, earn money, and make deliveries to build the Church. The villagers will move along the paths formed by tile placement to transport resources. In solo mode, follow the specific rules designed by Nick Shaw and David Turczi. Note: Remember that paid add - ons from the Kickstarter campaign are not included unless otherwise stated. When handling the game components, be gentle with the wooden church and the tiles to avoid damage. After each game, put all the components back in the box neatly to keep them organized. If the meeples or coins get dirty, you can clean them with a soft, dry cloth.
