In Horizons, you become a star - faring species venturing into a new galaxy. Find new stars, explore planets, collect resources, and make allies to expand your empire. Build colonies and resource collectors to control crowded star systems. The player with the most points wins. Points are scored by gaining knowledge, exploring new worlds, completing missions, and controlling star systems. On your turn, take 2 actions from Explore, Adapt, Build, Harvest, or Conspire. The game ends when a player places their last colony. Score victory points for star system control, unspent knowledge, and completed missions. How to play Horizons: On your turn, you get to take 2 actions. You can pick from actions like Explore (draw and play a world from the bag and get one knowledge), Adapt (activate a Habitat and/or take the top ally from any stack), Build (construct a collector or colony), Harvest (gain 1 resource for each collector you've built), or Conspire (draw two mission cards or 1 Ally & 1 Mission card). The goal is to score the most points. You score by gaining knowledge, exploring new worlds, finishing missions, and getting control of star systems. The game wraps up when a player places their last colony. Then, you score victory points for controlling star systems, any unspent knowledge, and completed missions. Things to note: This is the Kickstarter Edition, which you usually can't find in regular retail stores. And unless it's mentioned, the paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign aren't included. There's no special maintenance needed for this board game. Just keep it in a dry place and don't let it get damaged.
