Board Game Geek Rating: 6.23. Board Game Geek Avg Player Rating: 6.93. This game is for 2 to 7 players and was published in 2013. It's the Kickstarter Edition of Kings of Air and Steam. Note that paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign aren't included unless stated otherwise. Set on the brink of the 20th century, America is an industrial powerhouse. Factories run non - stop, and city demand is soaring. Shipping barons compete by managing airships and railroads to deliver goods to cities before rivals. The process is straightforward: factories make goods like machinery, textiles, chemicals, food, and luxuries. Airships, which can't land in cities but can carry cargo long - distance, collect goods and deliver them to rail depots. Trains then transport the goods to cities, with the first - arrival competitor earning cash. The game spans five rounds. At each round's start, players plan airship flights using four movement cards. They reveal cards one by one, move airships, and take actions like building depots, upgrading airships or trains, shipping goods by rail, and getting funds from the bank. Throughout the game, players must track the rising values of different goods and aim to transport the most valuable ones to the right cities. At the end, the player with the most money and the biggest shipping network becomes the King of Air and Steam! The game features seven character teams with unique powers and a modular game board for a different experience each time. We're happy to support campaigns and offer the Kings of Air and Steam Kickstarter Game for online purchase at TheGameSteward. A significant portion of your spending on this game will go towards backing new Kickstarter games. If you have any purchase questions or need game advice, contact us at The Game Steward.
How to use: Start by setting up the modular game board. Each player chooses a team of characters with unique powers. At the beginning of each of the five rounds, pick four movement cards to plan your airship flights. Reveal the cards one at a time, move your airship according to the card's turn order and movement limits, and then take an action. Actions include building depots, upgrading your airship or train, shipping goods by rail, and getting funds from the bank. Try to get the most valuable goods from factories to the cities that want them. At the end of the game, the player with the most money and the biggest shipping network wins. Notes: Remember that this is the Kickstarter Edition, and paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign are not included unless otherwise stated. Also, always follow the turn order and movement limits of the cards. Maintenance: Keep the game board and cards in a dry and clean place. If the cards get dirty, you can gently wipe them with a soft, dry cloth.
