To play Zoned Out, first, unpack the core game and the 6 exclusive secret goal cards that come with the Kickstarter edition. Gather 2 to 4 players. Each player takes on the role of a developer. The goal is to build a thriving metropolis and gain the most points. On your turn, pick a square city card from your hand and add it to the existing city, making sure it overlaps at least one square. Then, move your planner to one of the four squares of the new card. If you leave a zone, you'll score points based on the zone's size, with extra points for connected parks and mansions, and penalties for connected parking lots and abandoned houses. Building downtown towers also earns you points at the end of the game. Remember, this is the Kickstarter edition, so the 6 secret goal cards won't be available in regular retail versions.
