Product Information
Board Game Geek Rating: 7.88, Avg Player Rating: 8.22. This is the retail edition of the Lords of Waterdeep: Scoundrels of Skullport board game expansion. It's suitable for 2 to 6 players and was published in 2013. The Scoundrels of Skullport expansion adds exciting new content. It features two complete expansions: the Undermountain dungeon and the criminal haven of Skullport. Each location has unique features and offers new play options, like new Lords, Buildings, Intrigue, and Quest cards. Owners of Lords of Waterdeep can use one or both of these new underground areas to enhance their gaming experience. There's also a new faction, the Gray Hands, allowing a sixth player to join the fun. The Undermountain is a huge, multi - level dungeon beneath Mount Waterdeep, full of mysteries and monsters. Quests here offer greater risks and rewards. Skullport, the Port of Shadow, is a dangerous place deep in Undermountain. It introduces a new resource, Corruption. Having Corruption in your tavern at the end of the game penalizes your score. The more Corruption you and other Lords collect, the more it hurts your final score. At TheGameSteward, we're excited to offer this game. A significant part of your purchase will go towards backing new games on Kickstarter. If you have any questions, contact us at The Game Steward.
How to use: First, make sure you own the base game Lords of Waterdeep. Then, you can choose to use either the Undermountain module or the Skullport module, or both, to add to your game. Set up the new cards and tokens according to the rules of each module. When playing with the Undermountain module, be ready for quests that require more gold and adventurers for bigger rewards. In the Skullport module, be careful with the new resource, Corruption, as it can reduce your victory points at the end of the game. The new faction, the Gray Hands, allows a sixth player to join. Simply add their components to the game setup. Notes: Remember that Corruption is a negative resource, so try to manage it well during the game. Also, the rules of these expansions might be a bit more complex than the base game, so take your time to understand them. Maintenance: Keep the cards in a card protector to prevent wear and tear. Store the tokens in a small container to avoid losing them. When not in use, put all the game components back in the box and store it in a dry place.
