Product Information

Board Game Geek Rating: 7.59. Board Game Geek Avg Player Rating: 8.04. This is a board game for 2 to 4 players, published in 2016. It's the retail edition of Santorini Board Game from Roxley Games and includes the core game. Santorini is a re - imagining of the 2004 edition. Over 30 years since its start, mathematician and educator Dr. Gordon Hamilton has continuously developed and refined it. It's a highly accessible pure strategy game. Simple enough for elementary school kids, yet deep enough for hardcore gamers. The rules are straightforward. Each turn has 2 steps: First, move one of your builder pawns to a neighboring space. You can move on the same level, step up one level, or step down any number of levels. Then, build a building level next to the moved builder. When building on the third level, place a dome to remove the space from play. You win if either of your builders reaches the third level. What sets Santorini apart is its integration of over 40 thematic god and hero powers designed by Dr. Hamilton, which change how the game is played. At TheGameSteward, we're glad to support campaigns for games like Santorini. A large part of your spending on this game will go towards backing new Kickstarter games. If you have any questions about buying or game advice, contact The Game Steward.

How to play Santorini: This is a board game for 2 - 4 players. Each turn has two steps. First, move one of your builder pawns to a neighboring space. You can move it on the same level, step up one level, or step down any number of levels. Then, build a building level next to the builder you just moved. Make sure all players know the rules so the game is fair. Maintenance advice: Keep the game box in a dry place to prevent the cards and pieces from getting damaged. After each game, put all the pieces back in the box neatly to avoid losing anything.
