Product Information

Board Game Geek Rating: 5.63, Avg Player Rating: 6.20. Suitable for 3 to 6 players and published in 2016. This is the Retail Edition of The Big Idea Card Game. In 2000, designer James Ernest released The Big Idea via his Cheapass Games. It's a blend of party and light - strategy games. Players create wacky inventions from adjective and noun cards, invest in others' ideas, pay for investments, and roll a die to see if it pays off. The one with the most money wins. In the 2011 edition from French publisher Funforge, it became a pure party game. Players combine cards to form fancy inventions, pitch them to others, and secretly vote. The player with the most rewards wins the round. Unlike old - style Cheapass games, Funforge's version has high - quality, full - color illustrated cards in a nice box. At TheGameSteward, we back campaigns to offer you this game. A large part of your spending on The Big Idea will support more great new games on Kickstarter. If you have questions, contact us at The Game Steward.

How to use: First, get a hand of adjective and noun cards. Combine them to create your crazy invention. If it's the 2000 version, choose an invention (not yours) to invest in, pay for the investment, and then roll a die to check if you earn money. In the 2011 version, pitch your invention to other players, and then secretly vote for the best one. The player with the most rewards or money wins. Note: Make sure everyone understands the rules before starting. When voting secretly, don't let others see your choice. Maintenance: Keep the cards in the box when not in use to prevent them from getting damaged. Avoid exposing the cards to water or direct sunlight for a long time.
