Lately, it seems like we're all like dinosaurs trying to evade falling meteors. In this exciting game, you'll attempt to dodge life's little disasters. You might tumble into a pit of hot lava or get ignored by your dino date, but the dinosaur that survives it all wins! The first player to reach 50 points or be the last dinosaur standing takes the victory. Each round, you'll flip a Disaster card with a Natural, Predatory, or Emotional disaster. Players play Point cards to collect points and avoid disasters. If you collect 3 Disaster cards of the same type or 3 different types, you're out. Point cards feature weapons, trinkets, and good - luck charms for scoring and dodging disasters, with point values from 0 to 9. Use Instant cards during the game to change the odds or save your dinosaur. Player boards show your dinosaur's traits, an Escape Route for score - tracking, and a Disaster Area for collecting Disaster cards. Move your dinosaur meeple along the Escape Route. Will you dodge the disasters or be eaten by a prehistoric whale? Only the cards can tell.
To play Happy and Joyful Little Dinosaurs: The Base Board Game, start by getting each player a player board. Each board has your dinosaur's traits, an Escape Route for keeping score, and a Disaster Area for collecting Disaster cards. At the beginning of each round, flip a Disaster card that shows a Natural, Predatory, or Emotional disaster. Then, every player plays a Point card to try and get points and avoid the disaster. The point cards have weapons, trinkets, and good - luck charms on them, and each card has a value between 0 and 9. You can use Instant cards at different times in the game to help your chances or save your dinosaur.
