Product Information

Board Game Geek Rating: 6.84. Avg Player Rating: 7.31. Suitable for 2 - 10 players and published in 2013. This is the Kickstarter Edition of Coup: Reformation, an expansion for Coup: City State from La Mame Games. Note that paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign aren't included unless stated otherwise. Coup: Reformation adds new cards, faction rules, and team - play elements. It increases early - stage tension for 4+ players and allows up to 10 players to enjoy the game better with 15 extra character cards. Each player chooses to be Catholic (Loyalist in the 2nd ed.) or Protestant (Reformist) and can target the other faction. Conversion is possible by donating to the Almshouse (Treasury). Once one faction is eliminated or converted, in - fighting begins, and there's only one winner. It brings a new team dynamic as players shift their allegiances. At TheGameSteward, we're excited to offer this game. A large part of your purchase will go towards backing new Kickstarter games. If you have questions, contact us at The Game Steward.

How to play: First, each player picks a side, either Catholic (Loyalist in the second edition) or Protestant (Reformist). The game uses the new cards and rules for factions and team play. Try to target members of the other faction. If you want to convert yourself or another player, make a charitable donation to the Almshouse (Treasury). Keep in mind that once the other faction is out, in - fighting starts, and only one player can win. Things to note: This is the Kickstarter Edition, and usually, paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign aren't included. If you have any special requirements, check with the seller. Maintenance advice: Keep the cards in a dry place. You can use a card protector to avoid wear and tear. When not in use, store the game in its box to keep all parts together.
