The Kickstarter Edition Bundle includes the 878: Vikings Board Game, The Viking Age Expansion with applicable stretch goals, Leaders Miniatures Pack, Buildings Miniatures Pack, and a Giant Map Mat. Note: paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign are not included unless stated otherwise. It's 878, and for 75 years, Viking raiding parties from Norway and Denmark have been terrorizing England's coasts. Now, huge Viking armies are ready to invade and settle. The divided English kingdoms are ill - prepared. In this game, you can control either the invading Vikings (as Norsemen freemen or Berserkers) or the English nobles (Housecarl, Thegns, and you can call up the Fyrd). Both sides strategize to control cities on the map. The English start with all of England, but a Viking Leader invades each turn. The English get reinforcements from controlled cities, while Vikings wait for new invasions. The game ends with the Treaty of Wedmore, and the side with the most cities wins. At TheGameSteward, we're happy to back campaigns. A good part of your spend on this bundle will go towards backing new games on Kickstarter.
