It's a standalone sequel to Above and Below, releasing on the 10th anniversary of the original. The character tokens are compatible between editions. You and your family are leaving the crowded marshlands for a new life in the west, among azure lakes with watery caves and sinkholes. But there are ghosts! Above and Below: Haunted features new stories and a new setting in Arzium. Compete with other players to build the best village by recruiting villagers, constructing buildings, and exploring caves. New features include ghosts that can haunt your buildings, two types of cave cards (normal and dangerous), new buildings for new strategies, boat tokens to alter die rolls or gain coins, and 40 unique adventure cards as cave - exploration rewards. How to play: First, set up the game board, place the building cards, and distribute the starting resources. Each player takes turns to recruit villagers, construct buildings, and explore the caves. When exploring caves, draw the appropriate cave cards and follow the rules. If your building gets haunted by a ghost token, you can choose to banish it to another player's building for a reward. To use boat tokens, you can either alter a die roll or gain coins. Note: This is a Kickstarter - exclusive game. Paid add - ons from the campaign are not included unless stated. Also, expect the delivery in June 2025. Maintenance: Keep the game components in a dry and cool place. Avoid exposing the cards to direct sunlight or moisture to prevent damage. If the wooden tokens get dirty, you can gently wipe them with a soft cloth.
