It combines Euro - style game design and card drafting with an exciting fantasy theme and battle mechanic. Suitable for 3 to 5 players and published in 2013. In Lost Legends, players become heroes aiming to assemble equipment to defeat a series of monsters. At the start, each player chooses one of five heroes with unique strengths and weaknesses. It's not a cooperative game; each hero battles their own monster. Before drafting equipment cards, players learn which monster they'll face. An interesting feature is that under the right conditions, you can evade a monster and pass it to the next hero, but then you must fight the next - drawn monster! Players draft equipment cards from a hand, pass the rest to the left, and prepare for battle. The drafting continues until one card is left in each hand and discarded. Then, compare your equipment with the monster to see the battle result. The game has 3 levels full of monsters to slay and new equipment to collect. How to use: First, gather 3 to 5 players. Each player picks one of the five heroes with different strengths and weaknesses. You'll then learn which monster you're going to face. Start drafting equipment cards from your hand, pass the remaining cards to the player on your left. Keep doing this until only one card is left in your hand and discard it. Compare your drafted equipment with the monster to find out if you win the battle. The game has three levels. Try to get Legend Points by defeating monsters and sets of monsters to win. Note: This is the Kickstarter Edition. Unless it's specifically said, paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign are not included. It's not a cooperative game, so each player fights their own monster. Also, if you pass a monster to the next hero, you have to fight the next - drawn one. Maintenance: Keep the cards in a dry place to avoid damage. You can use a card sleeve to protect them. If the cards get dirty, gently wipe them with a soft cloth.
