For centuries, five tribes have been running away from these titans, but now things are changing. Growing city - states are determined to end the titans' reign of terror and create a safer world. Each city - state competes to attract the tribes, hoping to combine their strength. The tribes are leaving behind old traditions, believing they can finally defeat the titans. In The Ancient World, players strive to build the largest and most influential city - state. You manage citizens, treasury, and military, and defeat titans. Take turns sending citizens for special actions or use military cards to attack titans. One action citizens can do is build Empire cards, which give you more citizens, money, and abilities. A city - state's influence is measured by sets of tribe banners. Empire cards have one or more tribe banners, and you can also get them by defeating titans. Players earn victory points (VPs) for sets of tribe banners. After six rounds, the player with the most VPs wins.
