Product Information
Board Game Geek Avg Player Rating: 7.47. Suitable for 2 to 4 players and published in 2020. This is the Kickstarter Edition of The Search for Planet X Board Game. Note that paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign are not included unless stated otherwise. At the edge of our solar system, a mysterious dark planet might be hiding. In 2015, astronomers thought a large distant planet could explain some unique orbits. Since then, they've been scanning the sky to find it. The Search for Planet X, a game from Foxtrot Games, lets you be an astronomer. Use observations and logical thinking to hunt for this hypothetical planet. The companion app randomly sets up objects and Planet X's location according to rules. Each round, as Earth orbits the sun, use the app to scan and attend conferences. Mark object locations on your deduction sheets. As you learn where objects are, publish theories to score points. As more objects are found, you can narrow down Planet X's location. Once you think you know where it is and the objects beside it, use the app to search. The game ends when someone finds Planet X, and everyone gets a last chance to score extra points. This game captures the excitement of discovery, the fun of astronomical investigation, and the competition in science. Can you be the first to find Planet X? We're happy to support campaigns and offer The Search for Planet X Kickstarter Game online at TheGameSteward. A big part of your spending on this game will go towards backing new Kickstarter games. To play The Search for Planet X, first gather 2 to 4 players. The companion app will randomly set up the game, arranging objects and choosing a location for Planet X. As the game progresses and Earth moves around the sun each round, use the app to perform scans and attend conferences. Whenever you learn the location of an object, mark it on your deduction sheet. Try to publish theories as you gather more information about object locations to score points. As more objects are found, start narrowing down where Planet X could be. When you believe you've found its location and the objects on either side of it, use the app to conduct a search. The game ends when a player successfully locates Planet X, and then all players get one last chance to score some more points. Remember, this is the Kickstarter Edition, and paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign are not included unless stated otherwise. Keep your app updated for the best experience, and store the game components in a dry place to keep them in good condition.
