Product Information

Board Game Geek Avg Player Rating: 4.20. Players: 2 - 6. Published in 2017. This is the Kickstarter All-In Pledge Level of the Victoriana board game. It includes one copy of Victoriana, one copy of The Time Traveller Collection, one copy of Casefile: The Ripper Returns! along with unlocked stretch goals. Note: paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign are not included unless stated otherwise. Set in 19th - Century Britain, where sports were created for the idle rich to bet big. In The Victorian Gamer, you're part of this wealthy group. No true aristocrat was without a fast footman or a skilled jockey. They'd bet their 'man' against another noble's for a set sum. The sport was just a means; the win was what mattered. A side - betting industry with bookies soon emerged. The game mirrors this era with three events: running, rowing, and horseracing, each with unique gameplay. Players can bet against each other and with the bookie. Three differently numbered dice add to the excitement and affect outcomes. In short, three races, two betting ways, and one winner. Ideal for competitive friends and family, it offers hours of fun and a few spats. Warning: Not for sore losers. We're happy to support campaigns to bring you games like this. A large part of your spend on this Victoriana pledge level will back new Kickstarter games. If you have purchase questions or need game advice, contact The Game Steward.

How to play: First, set up the game board and distribute the game components according to the included instructions. Decide who will be the bookie if you choose to have one. Then, take turns to participate in the running, rowing, or horseracing events. Use the dice to determine the odds and outcomes of the races. You can bet with other players or the bookie during the game. Notice: This game is not suitable for those who can't handle losing well. Try to keep a good attitude while playing to enjoy the game better. Maintenance advice: Keep the game components in a dry and clean place. After each play, put all the pieces back in the box to avoid losing them. If the cards get dirty, you can gently wipe them with a soft, dry cloth.
