Unlike previous maps, this single Earth map has 36 areas and is designed for 9, 10, or 11 players. It's a bit roomier for 9 players but the difference is hardly noticeable during play. Cthulhu Wars is a large - scale strategy board game where players take on the roles of alien races and gods from H. P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos. It comes with 64 figurines ranging from 20 mm to nearly 180 mm in height. The game is set on an Earth map. Each turn, players gather power and then use it in action rounds to recruit cultists, move units, fight battles, and more. Victory is achieved by reaching 30 points on the Doom Track and unlocking all six spell books. Each of the four base - game factions has unique monsters, spell books, and special abilities. Using the Cthulhu Wars 9 - 11 Player Neoprene Map is easy. First, make sure you have the core Cthulhu Wars board game as it's required to play. Set up the map on a flat surface with enough space for all players. Each player takes on the role of a faction from the base game. At the start of your turn, gather power.
