Wake up in a sterile, blinding - white hospital room with deafening beeps. You're alone, with no memory and a strange armband. In Coma Ward, players are amnesiac patients in an abandoned yet functioning hospital. They must search for clues and necessities, facing terrifying things along the way.
Each play offers a unique exploration of a changing hospital. You'll balance terror and neurosis while monitoring health. Stay close to fellow patients as the empty hospital's shadows can shatter your psyche. Once all clues are found, the true horror and the goal of the game are revealed.
The game has two parts. In the Prologue, patients move through the hospital, discovering room - representing tiles that can affect health or terror. They'll find items like clothing, weapons, medicine, and food to aid their search for clues. When all clues are out, the Phenomenon begins.
The Phenomenon is triggered by the final clue. Players open a sealed envelope to learn the story and how to win. Some Phenomena are cooperative, like escaping the hospital or defeating forces. Others pit players against each other. Each Phenomenon can have multiple endings, ensuring a unique experience every time.
