It's the retail edition of Cthulhu: Dark Providence by CMON and includes the core game. Note that it doesn't have the sold - out Cthulhu Death May Die: Dark Providence Promo Investigator Bundle. Set in the Cthulhu: Death May Die world, inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's writings, Dark Providence is a competitive game. Players take on secret roles as Investigators or Cultists in 1930s US cities. Cultists aim to reshape the nation by dealing with nightmarish beings, while Investigators fight against this dark fate. Each player's secret alignment decides how they score points at the end. It's not a cooperative game. During the game, use Influence cubes to bid for Asset cards, control cities, and get Mythos cards. New Asset cards enhance your deck and available actions. Keep your identity secret and avoid going insane. Perform actions like swaying Hired Agents, assassinating others' Agents, getting help from Mythos cards, blocking card claims, and sealing or protecting Gates to earn Victory Points. The player with the most Victory Points on the winning side wins! We're excited to back campaigns to bring you this game. To play Cthulhu Dark Providence Board Game, first gather 1 to 5 players. Each player gets a secret role as an Investigator or a Cultist. During the game, use Influence cubes to bid for Asset cards, take over cities, and collect Mythos cards. These cards will improve your deck and give you more resources and actions. Try to keep your identity hidden and avoid going insane. You can perform various actions like convincing Hired Agents to join your side, assassinating other players' Agents, getting help from Mythos cards, and blocking other players from getting cards. Also, you can seal or protect Gates to earn Victory Points. At the end of the game, the player with the most Victory Points on the winning side wins. Note that this is the retail edition and doesn't include the sold - out promo investigator bundle. When storing the game, keep it in a dry place away from direct sunlight to avoid damage to the cards and components.
