You'll manage your Corps of Discovery, adding Native Americans and trappers along the way. Clever resource management is key, as sometimes being frugal is better. The game features dual - use cards. You must combine two cards to activate one, which creates a dilemma of playing or sacrificing a card. As you acquire character cards, your hand grows, but you need to optimize your crew for efficient card recycling. Timing and using other players' positions opportunistically are crucial to win.
